Side Notes does not display third-party advertisements. It offers an optional one-time in-app purchase that unlocks the premium version; there are no subscriptions and nothing renews automatically. The app does not require user registration and does not request personal information such as name, email address, or phone number.

2. Information We Collect

The app itself does not collect personally identifiable information. Your notes are stored locally on your device and are never sent to us. However, we use trusted third-party services to help us understand how the app is used and to process in-app purchases, and the app includes an optional community feature voting service of our own.

2.1 Firebase Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics (provided by Google LLC) to collect anonymous usage data, such as app interactions, session duration, and device-related information. This data helps us improve performance, stability, and user experience.

Firebase Analytics does not collect information that directly identifies individual users. Note titles, note content, and search text are never sent.

2.2 In-App Purchases

The app offers an optional one-time in-app purchase that unlocks the premium version. All payments are processed securely by the official app store platform (Google Play Store). It is a single payment: there is no subscription and nothing renews automatically.

We do not collect, store, or have access to payment information such as credit card numbers or billing details. Purchase management and billing are handled entirely by the app store provider.

2.3 Community Feature Voting

The app includes an optional screen where you can vote for the next feature. If you use it, the app sends a randomly generated installation identifier (a UUID), your chosen feature, and timestamps to our own service.

This identifier is not an identity: it carries no name, email address, phone number, location, or hardware identifier, and we store nothing else about your vote. The data is used only to count votes and display results. Your notes, reminders, and backups are never sent to this service.
